Rai International produces various radio programmes broadcast on medium and short wave frequencies, through the AM_FM radio networks that have stipulated an agreement with Rai International, or via satellite and via the web on Satelradio and Hotbird. Rai International broadcasts, throughout the world, the best of the programmes of Rai Radiotelevisione Italiana, as well as original programmes made for Italians who live abroad and for all those who have a family link with our country or want to know more about Italy. |

Via satellite Throughout Europe and in the Mediterranean area, Rai International distributes the three RAI television and radio networks via satellite. The signal can be received with an analogical dish antenna (thanks to the Hotbird 1 satellite) or a digital antenna (with Hotbird 2) - see technical data. Rai does not have the rights to broadcast some programmes abroad_ consequently, these are scrambled during the satellite transmission. |
